EasyArc™ MIG Welding Cart

The foundation of the EasyArc platform, this system pairs the ABB GoFa™ collaborative robot with the Fronius TPS320i MIG welding package in a fully integrated mobile cart:

  • Pre-engineered, plug-and-play system
  • No programming experience required
  • Single 480V power connection
  • Ready to weld on arrival

Start producing consistent, repeatable welds in hours — not weeks.

MIG Welding Configuration

Fully Assembled, Ready to Weld.

The EasyArc MIG cart is a pre-engineered, plug-and-play collaborative welding solution. All components are integrated into the cart at MWES — the robot, controller, welder, and tabletop arrive as a single unit. Connect one 480V 3-phase power drop, and you’re ready to start teaching parts.

The collaborative robot’s design and operating speeds allow it to work safely alongside operators in most setups without safety fencing. The cart’s locking-caster design makes it easy to reposition across the shop floor to match where work is happening.

EasyArc Software

Expert Precision, No Coding Required.

EasyArc software removes the traditional complexity barrier from welding. Operators teach weld paths by physically guiding the robot arm — no laser optics knowledge or specialized training required.

  • Guide the robot arm to each weld position — positions recorded automatically
  • Select weld type from the comprehensive command library
  • Choose material and thickness for automatic laser parameter setup
  • Seam tracking follows the weld joint precisely even with part variation
  • Part searching compensates for positional offset at the start of each cycle
  • Save programs for instant recall and repeat production

Standard System Specifications

Options & Upgrades

Configure for Your Application.

Robot Arm Upgrade

Upgrade to the ABB GoFa™ 10kg arm with 1620mm reach for heavier payloads and a larger working envelope — required for CMT push/pull and over-the-torch fume extraction setups

Upgrade to the CRx arm series for proven industrial reliability to food-safe collaborative automation — IP67-rated body and wrist for washdown environments, with rounded geometry and no pinch or trap points for safe operation alongside operators.

Welding Package Upgrades

Upgrade from the standard 320A power source to the Fronius TPS400i for heavier-duty welding applications requiring higher amperage output.

Other options available upon request – Contact us about additional options.

Adds Pulse Multi Control software to the MIG power source for improved arc performance and weld quality. Additional software upgrades available upon request.

Upgrade to the Fronius TPS500i for maximum output capacity — built for high-amperage, heavy-duty welding at the top end of the EasyArc lineup.

Other options available upon request – Contact us about additional options.

Aluminum & CMT Welding

Upgrades the standard push wire feed to a Fronius CMT WF60i pull feeder and SB 60i buffer torch hose — improving wire feed performance and weld characteristics, especially for aluminum. Requires 10kg robot.

Includes all CMT Ready Push/Pull hardware plus the Fronius CMT software license for complete Cold Metal Transfer capability — minimal spatter, superior wire control, ideal for aluminum and thin materials. Requires 10kg robot.

Seam Tracking & Arc Sensing

Through-arc tracking and tactile sensing to compensate for joint location variation on steel MIG applications. Includes nozzle sensing hardware upgrade.

Precise part location using the MIG wire prior to welding for tight-tolerance applications. Requires Collaborative Robot Torch Cleaner option.

Lets the robot locate and register part position using the MIG torch nozzle before welding — improving accuracy when part placement varies.

Torch Maintenance & TCP

Automatic tabletop torch cleaner with reamer, anti-spatter spray, and wire clipper — all interfaced to robot I/O for hands-free nozzle and tip maintenance during production cycles.

Automatically defines and restores the robot Tool Center Point and torch angle after any disturbance. No manual intervention required to get back to consistent weld position.

Lets operators realign and repair torch necks after a collision — keeping existing parts operational and reducing spare parts inventory.

Everything needed to start welding immediately — nozzles, liners, tips (0.035″ and 0.045″), drive rolls, O-rings, and more. Standard steel configuration; aluminum available upon request.

Fume Extraction Upgrades

Self-contained fume extraction with over-the-torch source capture, cart mount, and 110V power from the cart’s single power drop. Laser/TIG configurations include a repositionable tabletop nozzle instead. Requires MIG equipment with 10kg+ robot

The most powerful filtration option in the EasyArc lineup — longer filter life than the FE860, built for high-production environments. Requires MIG equipment with 10kg+ robot and a separate power drop.

Weld Positioners

Robot-controlled servo positioner with 8-inch chuck for pipe and flanges. Mounts vertically, at 45°, or horizontally — 100 lb capacity, 0–10 RPM, 500A grounding, safety guarding and scanner included.

Robot-controlled two-axis servo positioner for full part orientation control during welding. Handles up to 1,350 lbs, 0–5 RPM, with safety fencing, scanner, and 500A grounding included.
