34th Annual National Robotic Arc Welding Conference

Featuring Simple to Complex Welding Solutions & Beyond was a success!

Thanks so much to all who visited MWES at the NRAWC on June 6 & 7, 2017 at the MATC Center for Energy Conservation and Advanced Manufacturing, Oak Creek, WI. Industry experts and end-users found plenty of opportunities to discuss general topics as well as specifics about current and future manufacturing challenges.

Visitors had the opportunity to talk with manufacturing companies and learn about best practices on how to implement robotic welding systems

Requirements for new technologies, like laser welding, production monitoring, automation strategies for the new era of manufacturing, along with the advancements the AWES D16 committee is performing on robotic welding standards and much more were discussed.

The Highlights

On-Site Midwest Engineered Systems team of robotic welding experts showcased:

  • Highly engineered robotic welding and positioner systems
  • Arc welding
  • Laser welding
  • Tandem welding
  • Welding retrofits

For a hands-on experience, application demonstrations could be found at Kohler Power Systems and Telsmith, Inc. where tours of robots in action took place.

On the education side, industry leaders presented the latest information on data-driven flexible manufacturing using one or many robots and how to optimize upstream processes.
