The Challenge: Design a robotic palletizer with the following capabilities:
  • Palletize corrugated boxes (multiple sizes)
  • No product changeover
  • Product rates of up to 80 boxes per minuet
  • Multiple pallet patterns
  • Slip sheet handling
  • Pallet dispensing
  • Integrated automatic stretch wrapping system

Solution:

The following methods, components and technologies were implemented and integrated to provide a comprehensive solution:
  • Fanuc robotic palletizing solution (PalletPRO)
  • Dynamic end of arm tool designed for case variety (vacuum)
  • Activated Roller Belt (ARB) row forming infeed conveyor
  • MWES Model PD1000 pallet dispenser
  • Custom integrated chain driven live roller (CDLR) pallet conveyor system
  • Slip sheet storage rack
  • MWES drop box manual recovery system
  • Integrated automatic stretch wrapping system
